Shift your paradigm on life through this group exploration

If you have not read The Art of Possibility, you’re missing out on one of the best guides for shifting your paradigm on life. I first encountered this book around 10 years ago and have gone back to it many times over the years because of the profound impact it has on me every time I do.

The Art of Possibility offers lessons for life and work through 12 practices that, by way of stories, inspiration, and wisdom, open a path to seeing situations differently.

From the book:
“This is a how-to book of an unusual kind. Unlike the genre of how-to books that offer strategies to surmount the hurdles of a competitive world and move out ahead, the objective of this book is to provide the reader the means to lift off from that world of struggle and sail into a vast universe of possibility. Our premise is that many of the circumstances that seem to block us in our daily lives may only appear to do so based on a framework of assumptions we carry with us. Draw a different frame around the same set of circumstances and new pathways come into view. Find the right framework and extraordinary accomplishment becomes an everyday experience. Each chapter of this book presents a different facet of this approach and describes a new practice for bringing possibility to life.”

I thought it would be fun to work through these 12 practices with a group of other people. I always learn more with others than I can by myself and I think it’s a great opportunity to use that group synergy to intensify the effect this book can have on our lives.

We will meet once a month for 12 months and pre-read one chapter before gathering to discuss what we learned. We’ll devote the second half of each session to deciding how we want to implement that practice over the next month. The following month, we can begin by sharing the results of our previous experiment!
